Out of nowhere, The Witcher developers have announced that a next-gen, free browser based game inspired from the appreciated RPG has entered closed beta, which is expected to last only six more days, with an open beta starting on the 7th of April and set to last until the 9th of May, when the game will be officially released. Yes, it is a big surprise and we really hope it is not an April Fool's Joke. Well... at least it's an official one.

So, according to one2tribe, the developers of the browser based Withcer game, The Witcher: DuelMail is centered on PvP battles, between players from three different character classes. Winning fights will give you experience which can be used to develop your character, gain new skills and items. And you will win fights without doing too much: you will queue up attacks, magical spells and defensive maneuvers, while your opponent does the same and you'll hope that, in the end, you'll be the last man standing. Not the most exciting game ever, but I am sure many fans would like to give it a try, especially since we're talking about a free game.

Even though it is a browser based Flash game, The Witcher: DuelMail promises to come with a high quality level that can usually be found in higher budget products. one2tribe says that it was able to include spectacular battle visuals with high-quality animations created using motion-capture technology, as well as extraordinary special effects along with full sound implementation. And for a Flash game that is indeed something! The only things that seem to be pretty suspicious in this whole story are the fact that no screenshot from the open beta has been launched and no official website seems to exist. Well... we're sure that by the end of the day we'll know for sure if this is going to be for real or not.
