CD Projekt Red promises great new content for the RPG

The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, the latest and greatest role-playing game made by CD Projekt Red, has sold over 4 million copies during its first two weeks of availability on PC, PS4, and Xbox One. The studio thanks fans in an open letter and pledges many great things for owners of the RPG.

The Witcher 3 was eagerly awaited by millions of RPG fans from all over the world, and not even the different delays implemented by the Polish team at CD Projekt Red dampened the spirits of the community.

Over 4 million copies have been sold so far

After having confirmed ahead of the May 19 launch that over 1 million pre-orders were recorded for The Witcher 3, CD Projekt Red now thanks fans in an open letter and confirms that, in the first two weeks of the game's availability, over 4 million copies have been sold worldwide on PC, PS4, and Xbox One.

The studio thanks the community for its loyalty as well as for the huge amount of feedback offered to its own team following the launch of the RPG around the world.

What's more, CD Projekt Red co-founder Marcin Iwinski also pledges that his team is working very hard on the new downloadable content for the game, as well as the two promised expansions that should provide even more hours of enjoyment to users from all over the world.

"Four million RPG fans spending their hard-earned money on our game is a sign that we did something right, and you can be sure that we’ll harness all that positive energy and make the upcoming expansions worthy of the grand adventure that you’re telling us Wild Hunt already is! Until then, keep on enjoying Wild Hunt, do not forget to grab your weekly set of free DLCs, and stay tuned for constant updates and enhancement to the game we are continuously working on," he says.

This week's free DLC packs are set to be revealed and released in the following days. According to a previous leak, they might include a new mission and a new set of Gwent cards.
