The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt has just received patch 1.0.2 on the PS4 platform, whereas the first two free downloadable content packs are set to debut tomorrow, May 19, alongside the actual game across PC, PS4, and Xbox One.

The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt is set to launch officially tomorrow, May 19, all around the world. This marks the end of the RPG's lengthy and delay-stricken journey to fans but also the beginning of its post-launch adventure.

Owners of the role-playing experience are going to be met with a day-one update, in the form of patch 1.0.1, when they start the RPG tomorrow, May 19, across the PC, PS4, and Xbox One platforms, which brings an array of improvements, optimization fixes, and other useful things.

Patch 1.0.2 is now available on the PS4

However, it seems that early owners of the game's PS4 version will also be met with a second patch, taking the game to version 1.0.2.

As you can see below, via Videogamer, the fresh update brings cross-country support for the game's future DLC packs, and that's about it. It's unclear if the Xbox One or PC versions of The Witcher 3 will also get a similar small patch.

The free DLC packs start launching tomorrow

Meanwhile, CD Projekt Red Community Manager Marcin Momot confirms on Twitter that the first free downloadable content pack for The Witcher 3 is also going to launch tomorrow, alongside the actual RPG, across all platforms.

In case you forgot, the Polish studio pledged to release 16 different add-ons for the title after its launch for free, as well as two premium expansions that will launch in October of this year and in early 2016.

The first two pieces of DLC include new beard and hair styles for protagonist Geralt of Rivia, as well as armor for his horse Roach.

Next week, The Witcher 3 players will be treated to a new skin for Yennefer as well as an additional quest. Expect to hear more about the future DLC packs soon enough.
