Comments like: "they typically neither understand nor appreciate. Tara falls in the "understand" category. Boy is she a dummy", are nothing but evil words coming from those who take one look and make an impression. Naturally, Tara doesn't fully "comprehend" the Wiimote's functions and how to use them properly, but the picture on Kotaku's today's headlines shows nothing more than a typical girly behavior.

The actress is best known for starring in American Pie (1999), American Pie 2 (2001), National Lampoon's Van Wilder (2002), and Dr. T & the Women (2000).

Surely many would like to hear that all that girls think about when using the Wii Remote is anything but the motion sensitive feature. I can't say that I'm surprised, what else makes better news than "beautiful young, famous actress doing...whatever," because in fact it doesn't matter, the title isn't about the Wii console but about Tara Reid.

It's also true that some of the most annoying pictures we see posted on the web or in magazines are those of celebrities making improper use of "highly sophisticated" devices, which clearly show their lack of interest and understanding, and trying more to pose in the "I'm also smart besides beautiful" posture.

I don't think that's the case here. Yes, Tara is in fact holding the Wiimote with both hands in that picture, but that doesn't mean she's trying to get any better attention by just doing that. Who knows, maybe she does think it is just a TV remote.

Really now, let's not be so mean, she's just a girl.
