USB Hub doubles as a tape dispenser

You probably heard of all kinds of USB combos. There's the USB heating technology (blankets, slippers, knee pads or gloves) and also stuff like the USB Ghost Radar that detects, well, ghosts, the USB Noodle Strainer cooking device, the USB Mini Lava Lamp that makes tiny volcanoes erupt (well?not really).

Some are useful, but many seem to be designed by 10-year-olds that don't have anything more interesting to do than trying to associate besides trying to associate stuff in real-life with USB flash drive.

Take the tape dispenser for instance. It never seemed to fit with USB technology. Well, Japan's Rare Mono Shop Scotch Tape Dispenser doubles as a USB 2.0 hub. The gizmo features one port in the back and three in the front. Is that enough for you? It's powerful, magical and useless at the same time!

The device is supposed tu turn out as an interesting office accessory. Here is how Rare Mono Shop describes the device's utility. "It is necessary in every commodity because we cannot accept the fact that the plural commodities are inserted in one lapping." Capisci? You'll save lots of desktop space using this! It's not a wireless hub, but sticking your mouse into a front port will save you the trouble of using the PC's ports that are millions of miles away from you. There are two models actually that only differ in size.

And because bad things always happen, both hubs come with transparent scotch tapes so you can stitch the cables. Et voila, there's no longer any excuse for you getting caught by your friends using wireless peripherals (they're not trendy anymore, really).

The smaller version is priced at 2480 Yen (21$), while the bigger USB-scotch combo retails for 2980 Yen (25$). Mushi mushi? Any news on the Bonzai tree USB hub combo? Temper, temper, it's coming soon!
