Telltale Games has just presented a gameplay trailer for the upcoming The Walking Dead Season 2 Episode 5: No Going Back, while confirming the different release dates for the new adventure experience.

The Walking Dead video game series from Telltale have delivered some of the most impressive stories in the adventure genre, taking the universe imagined by the comics and transforming it into a gut-wrenching experience filled with all sorts of intense moments.

The series, now in its second season and final chapter, called No Going Back, has just received some fresh details, via the official website.

First up, developer Telltale has confirmed the various release dates for the game across its many platforms. The new episode starts dropping next week, on August 26 for the PC and Mac platforms worldwide. On that same day, the new chapter will also be available for the PS3 and PS Vita in North America.

On August 27, PS3 and PS Vita users in Europe as well as Xbox 360 owners worldwide will be able to get the new episode. Last but not least, on August 28, the iOS version will also be updated with the latest adventure.

A new description of the game has also been posted by the studio, emphasizing the different tense situations that will be present in the final chapter of the second season. Bear in mind that spoilers for previous episodes are present, so you might want to avoid it if you're still catching up on the second series of The Walking Dead adventure game.

"Winter is setting in. Time to find food and shelter is running out. And with a newborn infant to sustain, walkers are a greater threat than ever. As pressure builds and tensions reach breaking point, your choices will decide Clementine’s fate in the gripping conclusion of The Walking Dead: Season Two," the studio writes.

In order to recap the many events that protagonists went through in the first and second seasons, a lengthy video has also been revealed by Telltale, hyping up the major decisions that need to be taken in the upcoming season finale.

Bear in mind that it's also filled with spoilers about the first and second seasons, although there are no scenes from the upcoming fifth episode of the second series.

Look forward to the release of The Walking Dead Season 2 Episode 5: No Going Back next week across quite a few platforms. The game will also debut on PS4 and Xbox One later this fall.
