Not so many changes though

A new version, an updated one, of the WHQL certified Nvidia ForceWare 90 drivers has just hit the retail market, and comes with support for Quad SLI, GeForce 7600GS AGP and 7100GS, but, unfortunately, doesn't differ to much from the previous versions, the ForceWare 91.31 or ForceWare 91.45, also Quad SLI drivers. Moreover, the company didn't mention if the drivers will have support for the future to come GeForce 7900GS and 7950GT graphics cards.

However, the new drivers will sport a bunch of new and advanced features, including Nvidia's latest Control Panel, new PureVideo functions and updates, image sharpening post processing, noise reduction post processing, enhanced Inverse telecine and de-interlacing algorithms, and advanced compatibility with third party MPEG-2 decoders Microsoft DirectX 9.0c and OpenGL 2.0 support.

But earlier last week, a scandal emerged and involved Nvidia blamed by Creative for the scarce compatibility between the latter's nForce 4 and the Soundblaster X-Fi. The issue started a few months ago and has developed ever since, becoming one of the headlines of the worldwide media.

Furthermore, at the beginning of this argument, Creative believed that DDR Dual Channel is to blame, but eventually changed the latter with Nvidia's nForce 4. Nvidia's Technical Marketing Manager, Sean Cleveland said on a Bjorn3D chat that: "Currently, there are no open bugs regarding Creative's X-Fi audio card. Please let me know of any issues you have so I can file bugs."
