USB cup warmers have been around for quite a lot and they've become an usual presence on our desks. Some like these gadgets, while others would rather not see them around. Well, for those who are into cup warmers, here's one new piece which looks funny - it comes in the body of traditional gas stove and would rather fit in Barbie's house than on the desk of a grown-up. From the very start we should add that this is a toy for a person who's into retro gear, as it has nothing modern to it. It sports the old-time, rounded edges and the overall impression is that you're looking at some obsolete piece of cookware.

The USB Gas Stove Cup Warmer is a fairly small and cozy object, and its reduced footprint is most likely to make it easy to integrate on almost any desk. This toy sports 140mm x 125mm x 28mm, and comes in either orange or blue finish.

Everything is made from plastic, save for the heater, and you get a flip-switch with On and Off positions and a heat intensity dial that looks pretty much like the real-life gas knob on a cooking machine. Obviously, you can adjust the temperature of the heater so you can keep your tea or coffee as hot as you like.

LED lights inside the USB Gas Stove Cup Warmer will simulate the fire thanks to the red translucent plastic ring around the heating element. They'll only be visible in dark conditions, but the effect is pretty nice. Too bad that the creators of this gadget haven't noticed that methane burns with a blue flame and not a red one. A more authentic look and feeling could have been obtained with blue light, but we're dealing, after all, with a cup warmer and not a gas burner simulator.

The device is available for the price of $15, and it might make a nice gadgety gift. We're still waiting for the ice coffee coolers.

We are just a few, but there are many of you, Softpedia users, out there. That's why we thought it would be a good idea to create an email address for you to help us a little in finding gadgets we missed. Interesting links are bound to be posted with recognition going mainly to those who submit. The address is .
