Samsung has released the SGH-X830 mini music phone that has a very obvious iPod inspiration, a fact that should not make the guys from Apple very angry because I suppose this is how the Korean phone manufacturer shows its admiration for the famous design sported by the apple flavored MP3 player. Samsung's handset has an exterior display that, when in the MP3 playing mode, shows the playlist, the song information and the built-in audio equalizer.

The tri-band 900/1800/1900 MHz device has a 262k colors TFT display working on a 128x220 pixels resolution, which comes together with a 1.3 megapixel camera, a 1 gigabyte of Nand flash built-in memory, a multimedia player with support for MP3 / AAC / AAC+ / AAC+(e) / WMA audio files and MPEG4 / H.263 video, Bluetooth and USB 2.0 connectivity, plus MMS, JAVA plus WAP 2.0 technologies.

The president of Samsung Telecommunication Business, Kitae Lee, has declared that "the X830 shows Samsung's strategy to focus more on music segment. Samsung will launch various music phones targeting which focused on perfect balance between innovative design and various functions. We will continue to introduce cutting-edge multimedia phones to satisfy the mobile phone users."

This incredibly small multimedia mini phone measuring only 84x30x19.9mm, weighs 75 grams, coming in black, candy pink, orange, pure white, oasis blue and lemon green colors, will be launched on the European mobile market at the end of November 2006 and will also be released on the other international GSM markets very soon.
