Stars do not tell anything about human beings

It is said that every individual has a star, and the latter "dictates" the corresponding person's behavior, gloominess, happiness, preferences, love, and last but not least, birth and death dates.

Even before Christ and his "remarkable shooting star", people believed in their own star, a kind of personal oracle used only by witches or any sort of initiates in this world of universal mystery.

The belief in "the star's oracle" has remained unchanged through thousands of years. Even now, in this Technology Age, the star is still keeping its power over humans. When a star falls, a man dies, and when a man's life is full of sorrow, than the wicked star is to blame.

The Oracle Star

But as science's main role is to "destroy" all kinds of superstitions, this one has been also put to test.

The research has been coordinated by two astrologists, who tried to establish the existing similarities between stars and human personality, the results being again tested by a team of psychologists.

The researchers, at least the ones involved in this study, are saying that not even one human characteristic is determined by a certain star. This conclusion is presented in the book -"Personality and Individual Differences".

Peter Hartman, professor at the Danish Aarchus University, and his colleagues have tried to demonstrate that seasons influence man's destiny and personality. This means that, if two individuals are born in the same period of time (in this case - a season), than they will share many characteristics. So, both will be neurotic, egoistic and impulsive, if we believe the superstition saying that all individuals born in winter or autumn are not to be trusted because of their "cruel personality".

15.000 individuals and 15.000 stars are being tested

The study coordinator, Peter Hartman, didn't reveal the motive for choosing 4.000 persons for the first group, all being former soldiers in Vietnam War, and why the second group was formed by young people with ages ranging 15 to 34 years.

The researchers "measured" the IQ and personality depending on what their stars were revealing ("the personal stars" were established at birth). The conclusion was that not even one individual characteristic is determined by a star.

Will these results influence in any way the belief in an "oracle star"? Will all the humans change their relationship with stars, only because a study said that stars are just stars and everything we believe in is just our own imagination? This remains to be seen.
