NTT DoCoMo, the number one Japanese mobile carrier, has announced today the release of a new 3G FOMA mobile handset, the Sony Bravia. The new device will feature an impressive QVGA display which is able to use the technology developed for the Bravia HDTVs, thus, reinventing the concept of high quality display in the mobile phone market.

The phone will measure 50 x 20 x 106mm and will weigh 125 grams, and will have features available for everybody's taste: an MP3 player with 1 gigabyte of storage space for your favorite music in MP3 format, paired with the Stamina mode that transforms your mobile phone into a walkman that will offer continuous audio playback for about 45 hours.

Other features are the Virtual Mobile Engine (VME), the first application of low-power-consumption dynamic reconfigurable circuit technology in consumer products, and a 3.2 megapixels digital camera, which has an image stabilizer for those that can't hold their hands still.

The Japanese company hasn't delivered any info about the release date or the price of the Bravia mobile phone, thus keeping the suspense until the store release, which will take place on the carrier's homeland- Japan.
