The Song of Seven has just got a lore video out, showing us a piece of the world of the upcoming game.

Enlightened Games is preparing to launch The Song of Seven, an adventure game with a colorful cast of characters, on PC and consoles later this year.

In case you want to see actual gameplay footage, you can check out the pre-alpha footage video below the lore trailer, showing the game on the Nintendo Wii U home console.

For the time being, there is no clearly defined release date aside from 2015, and no word on platforms either, aside from Wii U. The studio is also a registered PlayStation developer.

The project started life as Project Bliss, and following an unsuccessful crowdfunding campaign on Kickstarter early in 2013, developer Enlightened Games decided to continue working on the game but also to make some alterations and improve it.

From Project Bliss to The Song of Seven

Enlightened Games plans to have the game span five chapters, following a young, energetic and sarcastic Auroki boy called Kiba, in a journey of personal growth, during which he confronts the shadows in the world and in himself.

Players will be treated to an emotional and spiritual journey that contains both comedy and thought-provoking puzzles, an interesting narrative and a lot of meaningful interactions, as they take on the role of a young boy seeking to take control of his destiny and explore the mystical land of his birth.
