Fans of the essential 90s sitcom, “Seinfeld” have a lot to be excited about. The two masterminds behind the comedy, Jerry Seinfeld and Larry David, are putting their head together and working on what many consider to be a sequel to the show.

The two were spotted at the iconic Tom's Restaurant in New York City, the place featured heavily in the show, as the gathering place of Jerry and the gang. To add fuel to the sequel rumors, Jason Alexander, the man who played George Costanza, was also seen entering the restaurant.

The news was signaled by a man quick to take a photo when spotting the famous men just about to enter Tom's and then posting it on his Twitter account. He captioned the photo: “just saw Jerry and George waling in to Tom's Restaurant.”

The venue was reportedly closed for a couple of hours, with film crews seen entering and exiting, carrying in various filming materials such as cameras and cables.

This should be the final nail in the coffin that the “Seinfeld” sequel has been green lighted, after just last week Seinfeld admitted in a Q&A session on Reddit that he and Larry David had gotten together to work on a new, secret, project.

At the time Jerry admitted that “We never obsess over anything that isn't mundane. Most recent was intentional mumbling. We wrote this script for this thing that you will eventually see but I can't reveal what it is at this time. All I can do is tell you is that it's big, huge, gigantic. Even bigger than that Amazon package.”

The secrecy was also kept alive by Jason Alexander, who took to his Twitter account and posted a message that read “hey everybody, you'll never guess what I did today. Shhhh. It's a secret.”

Despite of all the buzz being generated at this possible reunion, the sad truth is that chances for a sequel are pretty slim at the moment. In all honesty, there are higher changes of Jerry and the gang filming for a Super Bowl commercial than a pilot episode for the new “Seinfeld.”

But then again, why all the secrecy and the covering up? Something is not right at Tom's Restaurant. Put it this way: if you don't see any commercial involving Seinfeld at the Super Bowl, then you can get excited.
