A nifty gadget with a hefty rice

The Sega Private Ocean Clock is one gadget you simply don’t see every day, unless you actually own one: it is a 3-in-one unit, incorporating multiple functions as a speaker, clock with calendar and lighting source at the same time for increased convenience. Now, it seems that the Japanese manufacturer Sega has no idea about what "small prices" means: this very neat gadget retails for a rather hefty sum of almost $180, which puts it off the present list you rely on each time an anniversary draws near.

This Ocean Clock boasts an interactive character and you can actually modify the way fish and other sea life moves and acts inside it.

Even more, since you can connect a music player to this gadget, the marine elements as well as its lighting color change so that they go with your mood.

Thanks to the calendar functions, you can set notifications for different moments around the year such as Christmas, New Year and the likes; and if you decide to set up a notification for your birthday, fish will pop up and congratulate you, which is indeed very cute.

The Sega Private Ocean Clock sports a sleep timer function that can be set up for 60, 30 or 15 minutes, and it also boasts a very neat integration of sea creatures with your clock and calendar, meaning you can read the time with numbers made from various "fishy" elements. You can even cruise undersea with the automated function presenting you the underwater creatures as if traveling in a submarine.

Now, for $180 you get more than 100 sea creatures, 22 sounds, touch sensors and the obvious alarm function. If you feel like a clock with virtual fish and changing colors would do in your bedroom or on your desk at work, and you have no better use for the money, you can get it here.
