Though at the time she was first pictured with it, it was believed the sparkler was a silver and diamond one, People magazine is now reporting that it’s actually platinum.
Moreover, it’s also Neil Lane, the jeweler behind the sparklers many celebrities have received in recent months, including Jessica Simpson.
While they may not come across as the most traditional couple ever, Jesse and Kat certainly went for a very traditional engagement ring, the aforementioned publication writes.
The item that James gave Kat when asking for her hand exudes elegance, style and old-school glamour. It didn’t come cheap either, one might as well assume.
“The newly-engaged L.A. Ink star hit the 16th Annual Los Angeles Art Show Opening Night Premiere Party held at the Los Angeles Convention Center on Wednesday night, showing off her sparkler,” People says.
However, Kat offered a first glimpse of it about a week ago, at a charitable pre-Golden Globes party when it was pictured from all sides as she posed on the red carpet. At the time, their engagement was in the realm of speculation.
“The gorgeous ring is the creation of star-favorite jeweler Neil Lane, who has recently created engagement rings for everyone from Nicole Richie to Jessica Simpson,” People says.
It’s a four-carat platinum and diamond ring, the celebrity jeweler explains. Moreover, it’s elegant yet different from all the other engagement rings out there, which makes it just perfect for Kat.
“It’s a beautiful ring set with a central round diamond in the middle with smaller surrounding diamonds for an overall dome shape. It has a delicate filigree pattern with very pretty scroll-work,” Neil Lane reveals for People.
