From Boynq

It's not extremely powerful and it probably doesn't have a top-notch sound quality either, but damn it looks good. I am talking about Saturn, a USB travel & laptop speaker from Boynq, a Dutch company specialized in high quality and unique designs for PC-accessories and general audio products.

What makes Saturn such an exquisite product is the on/off switch. I know it sounds strange to praise a device for its on/off system, but Boynq has succeeded to transform a mundane and trivial detail into the strongest selling point.

The speaker has two bases on which it can rest. One of them is for the on position and the other for the off one, so when you want to switch it off you have to rest it on its back.

Regarding specs, it features an enhanced 3 inch 5W RMS full range driver, not much but enough for travelling and magnetic shielding, which wards off any frequency interference coming from mobile phones, for example.

And since most devices are now powered via the USB, Boynq made sure that users are not dependent on power cables. Saturn only requires that you have one USB port available from which it can draw power.

Boynq also says that you can connect the speaker to any audio source, be it computer or media player, as long as it has a 3.5mm audio-out connection.

So, there you have it. If you want a cool, unique design with a soft touch rubber finishing, then Boynq's Saturn is exactly what you need. Unfortunately, there's no word on the pricing.

We are just a few, but there are many of you, Softpedia users, out there. That's why we thought it would be a good idea to create an email address for you to help us a little in finding gadgets we missed. Interesting links are bound to be posted with recognition going mainly to those who submit. The address is .
