Mobile phone manufaturers consider safety to be a priority

A new mobile phone concept is in course of being developed through the partnership of several manufacturer companies. Their intention is that of reducing as much as possible, even completely, the amount of electromagnetic radiation which is emitted by digital devices.

Whether mobile phones can be dangerous or not for the health of their users is a disputed problem that has failed in finding an official answer. Mobile devices use RF radiation, which might lead to some thermal consequences which also appear when a person lives in a warm environment.

Still, the RF radiation presents some effects when their value is above the Maximum Exposure levels to Radiofrequency Fields, which is much higher than that specific to handsets. The most disturbing rumor about the effects that mobile electromagnetic radiation might have is that it might lead to cancer. Still, many studies have been conducted in order to set clear whether this is true or not, but their results have been contradictory, which means that a sure answer has not been found until now.

It seems that the companies that have engaged in developing this safe mobile phone take as seriously as possible the risks of using such devices. Moreover, they consider the electromagnetic radiation a dangerous element to subject the bodies of mobile phone users. "Wireless is now woven into everything we do and ambient radiation is now in the air we breathe. Your biological system is being bombarded", said James Fintain Lawler, the head of the technology start-up Exradia.

The Wi-Guard technology that they are developing randomizes the field in a way that makes it similar to other naturally occurring electromagnetic fields that the human body is capable of handling. Wi-Guard technology can also be applied to current devices, by integrating it in the handset's battery. Almost 90 phone models currently support this upgrade.
