The sequel to the smash hit The Room for iOS devices has just arrived on AppStore. Developer Fireproof Games has just announced that the game ca be purchased by those who own one of the compatible iOS tablets.

The Room 2 does not support any iPhone model and is restricted to iPad devices. Here is the list of tablets confirmed by developers: iPad 2 Wi-Fi, iPad 2 Wi-Fi + 3G, iPad Wi-Fi (3rd), iPad Wi-Fi + Cellular (3rd), iPad Wi-Fi (4th), iPad Wi-Fi + Cellular (4th), iPad mini Wi-Fi, iPad mini Wi-Fi + Cellular, iPad Air, iPad Air Wi-Fi + Cellular, iPad mini with Retina display and iPad mini with Retina display Wi-Fi + Cellular.

In celebration of the release, Fireproof Games made the original The Room game free to download, but those who wish to grab it should hurry up as the offer is available for a limited time.

Unfortunately, while the original The Room game was launched on both iOS and Android platforms, the sequel is only available on iPads for the moment.

Developers have yet to unveil any details on the upcoming release of The Room 2 on Android or even Windows Phone operating systems.

For those unfamiliar with the series, The Room 2 is a physical puzzler featuring a mystery story in the background: “follow a trail of cryptic letters from an enigmatic scientist known only as "AS" into a compelling world of mystery and exploration,” reads the game's description.

The Room 2 features multi-language support, so players will be able to enjoy the game in English, French, Italian, German, Spanish and Brazilian Portuguese.

It also offers iCloud and GameCenter support, so players can share their progress between multiple devices, as well as unlock various achievements.

You can now download The Room 2 for iOS for £2.99 / €3.99 / $4.99 via App Store. Keep in mind that the game only works on the iPad models listed above and requires iOS 5.0 or later.
