The total Brazilian

Have you ever seen a hairy porn star? In this case, I'm not referring to the natural head adornment.

And for sure, boys prefer making sex than spending their time while wandering across a savage forest. Not to mention that in the case of the boys the image of an object covered with locks is not a very neat one. Moreover, beside aesthetic reasons, an Australian research found that the removal of the pubic hair was found to improve a woman's sex life.

The preliminary outcome of an online investigation made by cosmetic specialists from the Cosmetic Physicians Society of Australasia explains for the first time why many Australian women (and westerners, in general) choose to permanently remove all their pubic hair.

Over 80 % of the women subjects that said they made the so-called permanent Brazilian, meaning that hair follicles are permanently removed with the laser, motivated aesthetic reasons and approximately 60 % also hygiene.

But about 50 % of the subjects of all ages also mentioned that being hairless in the genital area conferred them a mood of feeling sexier, boosting their sex drive and sexual pleasure.

"The Brazilian could be viewed as a non-drug treatment to boost sexual confidence." said lead-researcher Dr Philippa McCaffery, a Sydney-based cosmetic surgeon.

"Medical research often focuses on a drug solution to improve women's sexual experiences. However preliminary results of this study show that permanent removal of female pubic hair by medical laser is a simple and safe way for some women to enhance their sex lives.'' added McCaffery.

The sexual factor of the operation explains the increasing number of women undergoing the all-off treatment, highly popularized in the 1990s by Brazilian women on the Rio Carnival wearing thong G-strings, seen by the whole world.

About 50 % of all Australian women undergoing laser pubic hair removal now opt for a Brazilian, rather than the "bikini'' look. Not everybody is convinced by the new fashion.

"The fact that so many women are trying to make their normal adult bodies resemble little girls' bodies indicates that there's something wrong with the natural signs of femininity, like hair. It's very worrying that so many women are seeking this artificial, Barbie doll-type look.'' said sexual health psychologist Professor Jane Ussher, from the University of Western Sydney.
