No better place to promote a movie than the MTV Movie Awards 2012, which took place over the weekend. The producers of “The Perks of Being a Wallflower” thought the same, so they introed the first trailer for it here.

Starring Emma Watson (with an American accent), Ezra Miller, and Logan Lerman as the titular wallflower, the film is a classic coming of age story based on Stephen Chbosky's novel of the same name.

Paul Rudd, Nina Dobrev, and Mae Whitman also star, with the film scheduled to arrive in theaters later this year.

All three leads are coming off other critical hits, with Watson fresh out of the “Harry Potter” franchise, Miller out the disturbing but critically acclaimed “We Need to Talk About Kevin,” and Lerman out of “Perry Jackson.”

In other words, this seems like an original, very intriguing mix, which should translate into beautiful chemistry onscreen.
