The security flaw affects several products provided by the developer such as Panda Antivirus Enterprise Suite, Panda Antivirus Platinum 6 and 7, Panda Antivirus Small Business Edition and Panda Antivirus Titanium. Although it seems that the security flaw might be fixed, it proves us that our computers might become vulnerable to any powerful attacker. Security company Secunia rated the flaw as less critical but sustained that a successful Denial of Service attack might help an intruder obtain higher privileges.
"Jean-Sebastien Guay-Leroux has reported a vulnerability in Panda AntiVirus, which can be exploited by malicious people to cause a DoS (Denial of Service). The vulnerability is caused due to an error in the handling of Zoo archives. This can be exploited to cause an infinite loop resulting in high CPU utilisation," it is mentioned in the security advisory.
