Sony has made a lot of efforts in terms of marketing its PlayStation Portable console as having something for everyone and being able to deliver a unique experience no matter what kind of gamer you are targeting is not an easy feat.

But the fact that the device was available in black and only a few other colors made its users feel less unique. That is why the company has just announced that a multitude of special editions and new colors will be gracing the PSP handheld console in the near future.

Designed for Europe and other PAL territories, two new colors will arrive this November for the PSP, Turquoise Green and Blossom Pink, only for the PSP-3000 models and not for the upcoming PSP Go version. The new devices will be available for purchase on their own but they will also be included in various bundles, as the Turquoise Green one will come with LittleBigPlanet for the PSP.

Sony also took advantage of the hype regarding the platform during GamesCon and revealed all of the bundles that would be making their way onto store shelves in the following months. Here they are, along with the months in which they will arrive and the publishers.

· September: Square Enix, Dissidia Final Fantasy with Pearl White PSP · October: EA Sports, FIFA 10 with Piano Black PSP · October: Polyphony Digital, Gran Turismo with PSP Gran Turismo Edition · October: Disney, Hannah Montana: Rock Out the Show with Lilac Purple PSP · Winter: Namco Bandai, Tekken 6 with Piano Black PSP · November: Ubisoft, Assassin’s Creed: Bloodlines with Piano Black PSP · November: Sony Computer Entertainment, LittleBigPlanet with Turquoise Green PSP · November: Sony Computer Entertainment, InviZimals with Piano Black PSP

Overall there will be quite a lot of unique combinations for those of you who want to flaunt your personality through your own PlayStation Portable handheld console. Don't forget that with the launch of the PSP Go this fall, a lot of other new features will be arriving on the platform, including a special section of the PlayStation Store that will be filled with games but also with non-gaming applications compatible with the PSP.
