The No More Heroes series has officially ended with its second installment, according to Suda 51, its creator. In a recent interview with Cubed3, Goichi Suda, the CEO of Grasshopper Manufacture, declared that there were no plans for another No More Heroes game, though this might not be the end of the franchise's main character, Travis Touchdown.

Asked if there was a large storyline ahead for No More Heroes, Suda 51 replied, “Unfortunately, the story for Travis alone is completed in No More Heroes 2. I am very curious about his life after this; however, we have no plan for No More Heroes 3.” About a possible port for the Xbox 360 and the PlayStation 3, Suda said that it was not his decision whether to port the game or not, but that he would prefer the game remained a Nintendo exclusive.

He continued to say that he would like to work on a new Killer7 release, as that was an important game to him. Killer 7 is an action-adventure title for the GameCube and the PlayStation 2 that was launched in 2005 to a mixed critical reception. The gameplay was a peculiar blend of an on rails first-person shooter and puzzle solving that soon became a cult classic for many Western gamers.

Goichi Suda, aka Suda 51, is the visionary CEO of developer Grasshopper Manufacture, the studio behind the critically acclaimed Nintendo Wii series No More Heroes. The second and last installment, No More Heroes 2: Desperate Struggle, is set to appear in Europe on the 28th of May 2010. It has already launched in North America and a release in Japan is yet to be announced. The main character, Travis Touchdown, is an assassin that wants to rise through the ranks of the United Assassins Association.
