Although it was announced a long time ago, today's YouTube message is at least interesting for many of us. The online video sharing service decided to allow the selected partners to insert adverts into certain clips published on its official page. What does this mean? Well, it is quite good news especially for the uploader of the videos because, as the YouTube representatives said some time ago, they can easily earn money by publishing clips and receiving revenues for the adverts included in them. This way, both uploaders and the original owner of the content will receive a certain amount of money coming from the advertising campaign concerning the clip.

The YouTube team announced the feature today, saying that all the adverts will need 20 percent of a video screen in order to avoid affecting the YouTube experience. If you're interested in the product advertised in the clip, you can click on the advert or ignore it and let it automatically disappear.

"Today we're offering select partners the ability to incorporate YouTube InVideo ads into their content. These are animated overlays that appear on the bottom 20 percent of a video. If you're interested by what you see there, clicking on the overlay launches a deeper interactive video ad that we think is relevant and entertaining. (The video you were watching is temporarily paused.)" the YouTube team stated. "If you choose not to click on the overlay, it will simply disappear, so that you're in full control of your YouTube experience."

A few weeks ago, some YouTube advertising tests were noticed on the Internet but the company didn't offer too many details about its plans. Today, the people working for the online video sharing platform said the function will be improved in the upcoming weeks in order to become globally available and not only to a selected number of partners.
