14 DAY TRIAL // The action from “300: Rise of an Empire” picks up immediately after the original “300” ends, at least that's what the new trailer suggests. A bitter Queen Gorgo now seeks revenge for the death of King Leonidas and his 299 brave men.
In case you're wondering, the visuals on this new film are similar to the ones on the previous version, so expect to see a lot of slow motion, high definition sword play and hand to hand combat.
The fight scenes are made even more awesome by the musical background which is certainly unexpected. As Greeks and Persians collide, Black Sabbath's “War Pigs” can be heard, enforcing the overall macho energies stemming from this production.
One thing is for sure: a lot of guys will be hitting the gym after seeing this movie in cinemas. As a little heads up, you better start working on those abs right now.
“300: Rise of an Empire” stars Eva Green, Rodrigo Santoro returning as Xerses and Lena Headey returning as Queen Gorgo. The movie opens in theaters on March 7.
