Unotron launched a washable corded optical mouse, because everybody knows that sometimes, when you eat or drink in front of your computer, food or drinks extend from your plate's range. Well, the new products are "SpillSeal" protected and also washable and are available with or without a scroll wheel in standard.

Unotron is an emerging company that designs and manufactures high-performance, washable keyboards that can easily be cleaned and disinfected to maximize user safety and minimize risk in nearly any traditional computing environment.

With an over modeled rubberized finish, the new mice can be found in two colors, either grey or black. For users, the main design benefit is the fully washable feature, stopping the spread of "infections".

Unotro has also SpillSeal corded and wireless computer keyboards and receivers, complementing the new and patented ScrollSeal Washable Optical 3 button Mouse and the SteriMax Washable Mouse. In addition, Unotron has SmartRest SRC5 Smartcard Readers and external SAC2 Standalone Smartcard readers.

SpillSeal means that the washable mice are manufactured and assembled in order to support procedures like cleaning or disinfection, without harming the exterior or interior design of the mice.

Unotron's Director Joseph H. Carabello said that "Unotron has transformed the industry with the introduction of affordable data input and security technologies that can be completely disinfected because of its patented SpillSeal protection which halts the spread of infection - a major concern for hospitals, schools, government, business offices, as well individual consumers."

Carabello also added that "Unotron has forged new ground with its removable scroll wheel design and high-performance over molded rubberized surface, which satisfy the most stringent disinfectant requirements."

So what more can we say about the new SpillSeal mouse? Probably for schools, hospitals, or places where many people share a computer and infections or diseases are imminent, the SpillSeal technology is useful. But think about telling you wife or mum: "Hey, just disinfect the mouse after you use it. Come on, it's ok, it's SpillSeal!" Funny or not, you decide if you buy this little piece of hardware.
