Even though I couldn't say that this is one of the most popular games on the iOS and Android platforms, The Moron Test is for sure one of the funniest. For those that didn't want to pay 1 buck to check out the iPhone version, DistinctDev is bringing now the Lite version, which can be played for free.

Developed by DistinctDev, Inc., the hilarious brain-teasing application generated over 50% of their paid downloads from the Lite version on Android.

Following the huge success that the app registered in the last weeks, the developer announced the “Old School” section free on the iTunes App Store for the first time.

The “Old School” section is in fact the original full app, which was seems to have been the number one paid app on the US iTunes AppStore at time of its launch.

The game is simply testing the players’ intelligence and mind agility by challenging them to think outside the box.

The Moron Test includes more than 45 questions and the 100+ original steps that hone their speed, memory and reflex.

"The initial version of The Moron Test was a great value at $0.99,” says Steven Malagon, Co-Founder and CTO of DistinctDev.

“Now the same $0.99 version has 4 times the content, along with achievements and leader boards via OpenFeint integration (currently iPhone-only, coming soon to Android). The Lite version is doing a great job of communicating this value to players," said Malagon.

It seems that since its launch on the Android Market, which is less than two months ago, the Lite version of the game has received more than 700,000 downloads.

The Moron Test Lite is available for download on the iTunes AppStore and can be played for free.

The original game is still available for $0.99 on the iTunes App Store, while the Android version can be downloaded from the Android Market for the same price, $0.99.
