A new sound bar on your wall

It looks like sound bars are becoming more and more popular as an increasing number of people feel like adding them to their latest-generation flatscreen TVs they hang on the walls of their homes. And what’s even greater is the fact that the audio technology driving the new sound bars is getting better and better, being able to complement the imaging industry progress. It's now time to introduce to you a new bar-shaped sound system, the R-One-HD from acclaimed HiFi manufacturer Monitor Audio.

This new sound device is a single-cabinet LCR (Left-Center-Right) system that can be easily installed in pretty much any setting, beneath or above your screen, directly on the wall or on a special stand.

One of the coolest and handiest things about the Monitor Audio R-One-HD is the fact that it will spare you all the cable fuss, eliminating the long wire runs that always tangle and are a real pain in the back when you plan to tidy up your room. At the same time, the fairly small footprint of the Monitor Audio R-One-HD makes it perfect for installations in places where space is a premium item. This LCR system comes with a hefty center channel driver complement comprising dual 4” MMPII bass speakers and a C-CAM 1” gold dome tweeter; the left and right channels are endowed by an MMPII driver and one C-CAM HF driver each.

In case you think that the Monitor Audio R-One-HD is rather feeble as it is, you'll most probably be happy to learn that this sound bar can be most efficiently complemented by the Radius HD subwoofer and Radius HD satellites, both acoustically and visually. There are no exact technical specs for the Monitor Audio R-One-HD, except the announced price, which runs around $800.
