They're friendly, fashion-conscious and obsessed with the word "green"

Eco-geekiness is not only a fashion trend as it is an overall outlook on life, a different perspective that involves everything from our personal car to the clothes and makeup we wear, to the kind of house we choose to live in. How do you define an eco-geek? Well, first of all, they simply love the word "green". Think Project Runway winner Christian Siriano and his obsession with everything "fierce" - and you'll pretty much get the picture. Well, minus the permanent annoyance factor - but yes, eco-geeks love to pronounce everything "green" or "not green".

The eco-geek's car is very important. It's - well, you guessed it - green from the roof top down to its wheels, and it screams "environmental technology". Good news for the vast majority of guys: scientists say that being green is the best way to impress the ladies. It's best if you drive around in your hybrid car and entertain everyone at parties with stories about just how "green" your food and your house have become in recent years. It also helps to throw in words like "biodiesel", "ethanol" or "hybrid-electric engine".

It may sound slightly amusing, but it's actually true: a recent study conducted in the States found that ladies are no longer interested in dating or even talking to men who possess the latest type of sports car, but would be very happy to chat with a man who owns the latest fuel-efficient car. And it's not just a ladies' thing either.

The survey indicated that 80% of all car buyers in the States would pay more attention and would be more willing to talk to such a person than with the owner of a brand-new top of the range car. Finally, 45% of people aged between 18 and 43 would define having a car that is not environmentally friendly as a fashion faux-pas. You draw the conclusions - and maybe reassess your budget for the next big planned investment and go for such a car - and you'll very soon reap out the benefits.
