Sony was present over the weekend at Tokaigi Japan Game Party 2015, and between Bloodborne gameplay sessions and details on upcoming titles like The Order: 1886, one of the company’s former executive producers teased the mysterious The Last Guardian title.

As per DualShockers’ scoop, ex-Sony’s Executive Producer Yasuhide Kobayashi, who was also head of development for The Last Guardian before switching to a new job at Smile Connect E!, decided now is a good time to hype the game.

Kobayashi-san was present at Sony’s event at Tokaigi Japan Game Party 2015 in order to celebrate his career and the 20th year for PlayStation. One of the reporters there asked him to write down some words for the fans and he decided to mention the last project he worked on before leaving Sony, The Last Guardian.

His exact words, “Hitokui no Owashi Toriko” which is the Japanese title of The Last Guardian. When asked why he decided to write the name of the game for the fans he said that “everyone loves these words too, isn’t it? Truly, I wonder when it’ll be time. I want it to be soon.”

The game might get additional details later this year

Sony’s PR, also present at the event, Yasuhiro Kitao has reacted immediately telling reporters not to ask him anything about The Last Guardian. However, he reiterated that the game is now in development at Sony and that this is one of the company’s most anticipated games.

The Last Guardian was in development at Sony for quite a long time (2007), but information on why it’s taking so long to complete it is scarce at the moment. There have been numerous delays for the game that should have been released in 2011 and there were a few years when nothing was known about The Last Guardian.

Since January 2015, The Last Guardian is officially a working title at Sony, though it’s unclear how long it will take this time for the Japanese company to announce anything related to the title.
