The LEGO Movie Video Game, created by TT Games and publisher by Warner Bros. Interactive, is the new number one in the United Kingdom for the week that ended on February 15, a performance that was clearly made possible by the success of the associated film.

Call of Duty: Ghosts, developed by the team at Infinity Ward and published by Activision, is in second place, the same place it managed to occupy during the previous tracked period.

The game has sold less copies than predecessor Black Ops 2, but continues to constitute a big revenue stream for the company and will get a lot of new downloadable content in the coming months.

Another new entry, Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy XIII, is on the last place on the podium in the United Kingdom, according to UKIE, which is a pretty limited performance given the past achievement of the Japanese role-playing game franchise.

FIFA 14 is the title that slid down the most in the top ten this week and has landed in fourth place after just re-claiming number one during the previous week.

Grand Theft Auto V, the open world experience from Rockstar and Take Two, is in fifth place, an increase of one place, and is at the moment ahead of LEGO Marvel Super Heroes, the Warner Bros. Interactive game that led the chart at one point.

Battlefield 4, the first-person shooter from DICE and Electronic Arts, remains glued to seventh place and might see an increase in the coming weeks as more DLC becomes available.

Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag is in eight, followed by the Xbox 360 edition of Minecraft, which continues to perform much better than any other indie that was ever launched on the Microsoft platform.

The United Kingdom top ten is closed down by the Anniversary edition of the first Fable, which remakes the classic Lionhead experience for modern gamers.
