Only days ago, it emerged that the Kardashian sisters are the highest earning reality stars of the moment – but, if one is to believe a new report, things may change pretty soon, as their fashion empire is in really troubled waters.

PopEater says that rumors are starting to pick up that the three Kardashian sisters, Kim, Khloe and Kourtney, are not doing as well as fashion designers as they’d want people to believe.

Two separate reports seem to confirm that, one being an announcement that their Bebe clothing line is coming to an end, and the other being a scathing review of one of their Dash boutiques.

Nothing concrete is being said about how their finances are in a poor shape but one can put two and two together and realize that the novelty of Kardashian products may be wearing off, therefore conclude that their fashion empire is in danger.

First, Bebe dropped hints all over the place that they were thinking of bringing their collaboration with the Kardashians to an end.

“The sisters do still have relevance. We need to move with fashion and we want to be first in the fashion world with everybody else and not fall behind. We are definitely assessing the situation,” Bebe President Emilia Fabricant said in an interview cited by PopEater, hinting that Bebe saw the Kardashians as old news.

The official announcement that the collaboration was over came only days later and, as expected, was filled with the usual pleasantries and assurances that the move had been planned months in advance.

“We are very pleased with the performance of the ‘Kardashians for bebe’ apparel collection and have immensely enjoyed our design collaboration with Kim, Khloe and Kourtney. They are terrific brand ambassadors and resonate really well with our clients,” Bebe said.

As if this wasn’t enough, it seems that the Kardashians’ boutiques aren’t doing that well either, with The Times running a very scathing review of the NYC location, comparing it to a genuine fashion “desert.”

“Dash is a fashion desert, just oodles of drippy cowl necks and embellished cap sleeves and synthetic fibers. Clothes are essentially split into two categories of fit: vacuum-sealed and hot-air balloon. As in most theme parks, there wasn’t anything worth carrying away but memories,” the piece in The Times said.

Contrary to how they’ve gotten their fans accustomed, the Kardashians have yet to comment on either story mentioned above, or the state of their affairs as far as their fashion endeavors are concerned.
