14 DAY TRIAL // The Kardashian Christmas Card for 2012, or the Kardashian Kristmas Kard as it’s been dubbed in the blogosphere, is out. Check out the image attached to this article to see it in all its (Photoshopped) glory.
Fans of the most famous family in reality television must already know that the Christmas card is a big deal with the Kardashians: they all get dressed up, dolled up and glammed up, pose for pictures and then oversee them being Photoshopped beyond recognition.
Even though these cards are almost always, without exception, criticized and mocked for the amount of retouching that goes into them, they also stand for something more: family and love.
This year, the Kardashians are all dressed in white, quite the color to go with the festive season.
Kourtney’s son Mason and her daughter Penelope are both included, as also is Kim’s now-deceased kitty Mercy. Notably absent is Kim’s beau, rapper Kanye West.
InTouch Weekly says that he will only appear on such a card if he fathers Kim’s baby or marries her. It’s the unwritten Kardashian rule, it would seem.
“Kim has never had a boyfriend on the family Christmas card. The only guy she's ever had on the family card was her first husband. If she marries Kanye, he’ll be on the card. If they get pregnant before they get married, it will have to be discussed with the family. That’s how Scott got on the cards,” an insider says for the mag.
The publication also obtained the text that will accompany the Kard when it goes out.
“Twas the night before Christmas, when all through the house, Kim was waiting for Santa, while her cat Mercy played with a mouse. Kendall and Kylie hung their stockings on the chimney with care, as Rob was wondering why his SOCK designs were not there!” it reads.
“Penelope and Mason were nestled all snug in their beds, while visions of diapers danced in Kourtney and Scott’s heads! As Kris was enjoying her round of nightcaps, Bruce settled down for a long winter's nap,” the text further says.
Khloe and Lamar who, as per her own admission, had to be Photoshopped in, also get a shout-out.
