It is only a concept for the time being

Ladies, meet the USB flash drive handbag. Go ahead, don't be afraid! You can finally indulge in your old passion for bags, while operating on your laptop or PC.

The smart man who came up with this idea is the Russian designer Dima Komissarov. He is the creator of the Flashbag and Remobeads, among other impressive products. The fashionable item can turn into a genuine USB stick, which can store all your pictures and office documents, without you having to worry about the cocktail outfit. The most impressive detail is that the bags will slowly inflate as you add more data, so you'll know exactly how much memory is left.

The device could be less portable when it's full. The bag inflates according to the amount of data you plan to store in it, looking like a real blowfish, which could be quite hilarious if you plan to take the fancy bag with you to a conference hall. The bag is thumb sized and looks somewhat wacky when it is full of data.

I would rather have an OLED display as a data indicator, rather than an inflated bag. But, let's face it: who would mind getting a device which expands and contracts as you "feed" it with data, as a birthday gift?

It seems to be the same principle as I use when I put everything I have in my purse. It would be the great gift to offer to an FBI agent, since no one can tell the main purpose of the fashion accessory.

It seems a lot of designers think about combining clothing and accessories with high tech devices, which is a wacky idea, considering the fact that most of the items sport hilarious price tags. The Flashbag is only in the conceptualization stage for the time being, but the designer has a patent pending on the design, so who knows? Maybe a company will pick it up soon.
