The new update brings major changes in both single and multiplayer modes

The folks over at Neocore Games have just released a new patch for their popular action RPG The Incredible Adventures of Van Helsing.

Judging by the pretty long list of changes, patch 1.1.23 brings major improvements to both single and multiplayer modes. Some of the bug fixes included in the update are definitely related to the recently Thaumaturge DLC, but other tweaks have been implemented as well.

The following changes have been implemented to the multiplayer mode:

- The player turns properly to the target, when casting spells. - Some of the effects didn't apply or get removed correctly on the players. This has been fixed. - Spells casted by a player disappear when the player leaves. - Generic item drop chances were always calculated based on the host. This has been fixed.

Van Helsing’s fans will be pleased to know that the patch also contains lots of other general improvements and bug fixes that will certainly enhance gameplay. Check out below the full list of general changes:

- The Focus Damage skill affects item comparision. - Fixed the DPS calculation of Ray of Destruction. - Fixed a crash with the completion of the Living Ghost. - The effect of the Treasure Hunter perk no longer disappears after changing maps. - The Thunderbolt spell works more in line with the rest of the spells. - Fixed an issue with using stackes in the Laboratory. - Passive buffs from Katarina show up as active effects. - Fixed some issues with the DPH calculation for the Thaumaturge. - All item types calculate drop chances. - Skipping the outro stops its sound. - The Favourite Skill statistic works properly. - Fixed an incompatibility with Sluggish Time and Ghastly Shape. - Fixed a potential crash related to the Control spell. - The reset window for Lady Katarina can be closed with Esc and the X button in the upper right. - You will no longer get stuck with Ghastly Shape even in the weirdest places. - Mana Fortress for Last Stand works properly. - Fixed an issue with key rebinding. - All Achievements take your class into account.

Keep in mind that patch 1.1.23 will be applied automatically when you open Steam. Obviously, you need to have The Incredible Adventures of Van Helsing installed.
