“The Human Centipede” franchise is coming to an end. The first installment in the horror trilogy came out in 2009, proposing an idea that was as disgusting as it was terrifying, with the follow-up out in select theaters in 2011.

2015 is the year when the horror ends, with “The Human Centipede 3 (Final Sequence).” It will be out on May 22, and a first trailer has been released. It’s not tagged as red band, but given the concept of the human centipede, *it’s recommended you exercised discretion when viewing it, as it contains gruesome images that might offend.

The franchise is based on the idea that you can stitch together human beings, mouth to anus, uniting them through a single digestive track. The first movie created a “centipede” of 3, while the second one upped the number to 2. In the last one, it will go even higher, to 500 - all of them violent inmates in a high-security prison.

Eric Roberts also stars in it, as an official type who is terribly concerned about the warden’s sick plans to rid the prison of extra costs, violent incidents and feeding expenses. I don’t think he will live long enough to cause any real trouble though.

Unlike the previous 2 films, this one seems a bit more tongue-in-cheek, which has sparked some “Sharknado” comparisons online. Even so, it remains too disturbing for those who are new to the genre.
