Up until recently, it was a commonly held belief that Hitler and his followers had built and operated a total of roughly 7,000 camps and ghettos whose main purpose was that of helping them get rid of Jews.

However, information now leaked to the public says that the number of camps and ghettos kept up and running by the Nazis between the years 1933-1945 actually amounts to a whopping 42,500.

Furthermore, it appears that a total of 15-20 million people were killed by Hitler's subordinates within said timeframe. Just for the record, previous estimates linked Hitler's reign to a “mere” 7 million deaths.

Sources say that the Holocaust researchers now claiming that Hitler's anti-Jews agenda translated into 42,500 sites being built base their claims on data collected while documenting all of the Nazi-run concentration camps, ghettos, slave labor sites and killing factories.

By the looks of it, these sites were spread all across Europe.
