Darren Aronofsky's decision to opt for CGI instead of real animals when working on “Noah” is turning out to be a very inspired choice.

Thus, apart from being praised by green group PETA, the director now also enjoys the full support of the Humane Society of the United States.

On its website, the Society details that it has recently teamed up with Paramount Pictures and that, as part of this collaboration, it is to act as a promotional partner on “Noah.”

Apart from expressing its full support for Darren Aronofsky's upcoming film, the Humane Society of the United States has honored the director by presenting him with its Humane Filmmaker Award.

“We are thrilled to lend our support to Paramount and applaud Mr. Aronofsky. He made the compassionate decision to recreate one of the most celebrated stories in history without harming animals,” Michelle Cho, vice president of the HSUS’ Los Angeles Office, said in a recent statement.

“We hope more filmmakers will follow the trend of opting for humane alternatives to exotic animal actors such as CGI and animatronics,” Michelle Cho went on to argue.

For those who don't know this yet, “Noah” it set to hit cinema screens this coming March 28.
