Paris in motion

After lots ant lots of leaked images with Sony Ericsson Paris, the first video with the handset has now hit the Web. Although it doesn't come from Sony Ericsson, the video is an official one, as it's definitely made by the Swedish-Japanese company.

Since Paris first appeared (about two months ago), we've already found out about all there is to know regarding its features, so the new video doesn't offer any surprises from this point of view. What it does offer, though, is the handset caught "in motion", which is always better than some static images.

Also known as Sony Ericsson P5, Paris could actually come under the name of P200, according to recent rumors, but to be sure of that we have to wait until the handset gets to be officially presented.

Although two days ago we said Paris was set for a September launch, the smartphone might hit the market earlier. The Unofficial Sony Ericsson Blog says the handset will be fully unveiled on the 17th of June, so it might actually become available this summer.

In case you don't know yet, Sony Ericsson Paris is built on the same hardware platform as the G900 candybar, but it comes in a slider form factor and it has several extra features. The phone's highlights are: built-in GPS, Google Maps, Wi-Fi, a wide touchscreen display of unknown resolution (a VGA one is rumored), a 5 Megapixel camera with flash, auto focus, lens cover and video, a QWERTY keypad, Walkman player and, of course, 3G connectivity.

As for the retail price of the next Sony Ericsson high-end phone, it's said to be around 400 Euros ($625), which seems to be a good price for all its features. But until you get the chance to buy the phone, enjoy the video below:
