14 DAY TRIAL // Although the next installment in “The Hunger Games” franchise is not due to come out until November 21, the promotion campaign has already begun.
Fans of the series and of the books were surprised when the first promotional post was revealed to them on Twitter. As the name implies, it features a golden mocking jay with its wings spread and ready to take flight. Behind it, a burning golden circle hints at the destruction set to take place in the movie.
Since it's the first poster, it was natural that it didn't feature any of the cast members, that usually comes later in the promotional process. The mocking jay is central to the film, as it is the symbol of Katniss Everdeen, the teenage girl who will go on to become Panem's symbol for the fight for independence.
Katniss is played by actress Jennifer Lawrence who enjoyed great success with her role from “American Hustle” from both fans and the critics. She will star along Josh Hutcherson and Liam Hemsworth in the third movie from “The Hunger Games”-inspired books.
