The list brings fewer titles than usual

While Nintendo ended 2009 with quite a big bang and a download list to match, is seems it's still a little groggy from the New Year party, and can't quite get back into the same tempo just yet. As such, it looks like this week's download list is a few titles shy of a full lineup. First one up is the WiiWare, and this time, there are only three new applicants on the list.

The first game is Triangle Studios' Heron: Steam Machine. At 500 Wii Points, it will let us take part in the wonderful industry of rubber duckies, as players will have to regulate the steam machine responsible for production in order to make as many children happy as possible. The game also has a co-op more for up to four people, in which you'll have to rely on each other’s skill in order to keep the steam machine running.

The second game on the list is Pub Darts, a rather simple simulation of one of the most popular bar past times, right after drinking, throwing darts. There are several game modes available, like 501, Cricket, Around the Clock, Killers and Baseball. The game makes use of the WiiMote to direct and throw the darts, so it looks like this could be a pretty genuine experience. The game is published by Big Blue Bubble Inc. and is priced at 500 Wii Points.

The last Wii game to be added this week is Fast Draw Showdown, giving us a chance to test our more or less lighting reflexes in gun drawing. The Wii Remote acts as the gun and the only thing we need in order to stay alive is cold-steel nerves and fast hands. Digital Leisure Inc. also gave the game a multiplayer mode, so for the 500 Wii Points the game will charge us for, we'll be able to duel against a human opponent.

The DSiWare also holds three new additions this week, and the first one is Nintendo's Trajectile. The puzzle game will arm you with three different missile types and challenge you to take out as many foes as you can in turn-based combat. Different strategies will be deployed for each different projectile type, and power-ups will factor into battle tactics as well. The game is priced at 500 DSi Points.

The second title to become available on the DSi is the Animal Puzzle Adventure from Aksys Games. Here, you'll have to lead each animal back to its barn, navigating the treacherous environment of over 50 stages. For your 500 DSi Points, you'll also get five special wallpapers, each for a completed level that ends when you finish ten stages.

The last DSi title added is Hell's Kitchen Vs., which strides to recreate the US TV show. Gamers will have to face their cooking foes in a one-on-one arcade kitchen challenge, while also enduring Gordon Ramsay's brutal judging. The game is published by Ludia and is priced at 800 DSi Points.

As for the Virtual Console, the only game it gets this week is Final Fight 3. Brought over from the Super NES, Final Fight 3 will have players once again clean up Metro City, as Mike Haggar, Guy Lucia and Dean take on the Skull Cross gang. With a two-player multiplayer available, Final Fight 3 is priced at 800 Wii Points.
