Ever since it was first announced, Dell's Inspiron Duo netbook/tablet hybrid managed to create quite a stir in the market and Chinese manufacturers have surely noticed that as the Shenzhen-based Ed Technology showed off a device that is remarkably similar to Dell's netbook featuring the same flip out design.

Although this does actually come with a lower specs list while also being smaller than the Inspiron Duo, its vertically rotating screen is surprisingly familiar to those that have laid their eyes on the Duo.

The Shenzhen hybrid features a smaller 8.9-inch capacitive touchscreen that is capable of pushing up to 1024x600 pixels and is powered by a slightly slower Intel Atom N450 processor with GMA 3150 graphics and 1GB of RAM memory.

Storage is provided thanks to an 120GB hard drive, this contraption also coming with WiFi and Bluetooth connectivity, a 2 megapixels webcam as well as an SD card reader.

On the backside users will find a 3-cell 3000 mA removable battery that should be able to deliver OK battery life, some shortcut buttons being placed above the screen enabling the user to lock the touchscreen, turn of WiFi and Bluetooth or to change the volume by simply pressing a button.

On the sides users will also find two USB ports, mic in and phone out jacks, an Ethernet port as well as a VGA display output, so nothing out of the ordinary over here.

However, when it comes down to looks, Ed Technology is a lot more advert as the magnesium bodied hybrid comes in no less that four different colors.

Unfortunately, no words on pricing and availability are known at this time although the Micgadget website suggests this will be priced lower than 2000 yuan (about $300).

No word on whether this will make it out of China or not.
