Asustek has launched the EAX1800XT Top, claiming that it has set a new benchmark for the X1800XT series clock speeds. The core clock's speed is set to 700 MHz and its memory runs at 1,6 GHz (800MHZ DDR3). It seems that this card is one of the fastest single GPU cards on the market.

Following a deal with Universal Pictures, Asus is also bundling with its fastest graphic card on the market the official King Kong computer game. In the box you will also find the XitePad gamepad, Project Snowblind, Joint Operations, Xpand Rally and utility software like Asus DVD XP (in fact a branded copy of PowerDVD), PowerDirector and others.

Asus's new board is different from the others because the company packed also an external power supply for guaranteeing a cursive operation. This ensures maximum overclockability, and it seems that Asus will be using external PSU on many of their top products.

The benchmark tests that Asus conducted were made using 3DMark05 and revealed that EAX1800XT Top outperforms the 7800GTX 512MB on standard clock speeds. The company's test revealed that its EAX1800XT board scored 9697 running at 1024x768 pixels. The system the test was made on was running AMD's FX-55 2.6G-200-1M processor and Asus A8N-SLI motherboard.
