If you were thinking that the “Fantastic Four” reboot was going to be similar in terms of action, dialogue and direction to its predecessor, with just a different script and different actors, you thought wrong.

Matthew Vaughn, the man who works on the reboot project as a producer, is here to set the matter straight. He claims that the new movie is not going to be anything like the original, which, in many ways, was a disappointment to fans.

The 2005 version that starred Jessica Alba, Ian Gruffudd, Chris Evans and Michael Chiklis as the team of four friends who go on to acquire superhuman powers after being blasted with strange cosmic radiation was deemed as cartoonish by many in a time when superhero movies didn't yet reach the quality they show today.

The 2007 sequel “Rise of the Silver Surfer” was an even bigger disappointment, which is why, Vaughn said in an interview with Empire Magazine, that the new movie is “a total reboot. It's got nothing to with the other bloody ones.”

He goes on to express his view of the previous movies in not flattering way, “It's not a stretchy guy and a guy running around in rock that looks like it's made of polystyrene. And it's not a comedy.”

The new “Fantastic Four” movie made headlines earlier last week when it revealed a young cast of actors and also when it announced that the role of the Johnny Storm, aka The Human Torch, was going to be played by African American actor Michael B. Jordan.

The rest of the cast is made up of Kate Mara, Miles Teller and Jamie Bell, and is going to start shooting in preparation for the June 19, 2015 release date of the movie.
