While Lionsgate is on a witch hunt against the torrent and streaming site holding the leaked copy of “The Expendables 3,” the movie’s stars aren’t that heartbroken over it, although Sylvester Stallone did express his disappointment over the situation.

During the red carpet event at the Odeon in Leicester Square in London, the movie stars were asked about the leaked copy of the film, which was, after all, inevitable.

Sylvester Stallone, who not only plays the main character in the movie, but also wrote the screenplay and came up with the story, was the first one to answer questions. The action star, now 68 years old, said that the entire thing left him feeling sad. “But you know, I understand that a lot of people have accepted that’s kind of a way of life,” he added.

Stallone has said that this isn’t necessarily an unfortunate event for himself, because he’ll be ok, but there are a lot of other people who will lose a lot of money, which is troublesome.

Kellan Lutz, who became particularly famous after his roles in the “Twilight” series, which ultimately propelled him into a life full of action roles, such as those in “The Legend of Hercules” and “Immortals,” was a little more upbeat about the whole situation.

Lutz mentioned that people were downloading movies illegally more for the purpose of trying out a product before buying it, or, in this case, going to the cinema and buying a ticket. “So for the people who downloaded it, I actually think they’re gonna wanna watch it in the theaters because it’s a good movie,” Lutz said.

“They’re gonna watch it online, then they’ll be like ‘I gotta watch this in theaters now,’ because all the one-liners that kind of go under-layered throughout the action, you just can’t hear that on a little iPad or computer,” the young actor added.

In the meantime, Lionsgate continues to send thousands of DMCA notices to remove the links to the movie and has even sued six torrent and file sharing sites that refused to take down the copies they were hosting.

The entire process is probably going to last for a while longer, and it is quite likely that an investigation has also been launched to discover who leaked the file in the first place. Reports indicate that the copy might have been shared with pirates nearly a month before the premiere is scheduled, but they waited to release it an extra ten days.
