Officials from DeLorean Motor Company surprised their fans after they have announced that the outstanding electric DeLorean DMC-12 will be launched on the market in 2013. Great news for the fans of speed and awesome, futuristic design.

The representatives couldn't keep the secret to themselves and decided to share it with everybody else in mid-October, in an event hosted by DMC Texas Open House.

I always thought that the baker is the first one to taste his delicious treats. It seems that DeLorean company agrees with me on this one, since Cameron Wynne, the son of Stephen Wynne, owner of DeLorean, was the proud driver who managed to experience the benefits of this electric prototype.

Manufacturers say the green vehicle was designed to hit 60 miles per hour in only 4.9 seconds and succeeds in reaching a top speed of 125 mph.

This luxurious item is everything but affordable. Potential clients might have to take approximately $100,000 out of their designer purses to get this dream car home. Plus it comes in a limited edition. Now we all know what we want for Christmas.
