The Gaia smartwatch comes with a beautiful design

Smartwatches are everywhere these days but we are yet to see one that integrates itself within the forms of the universe.

But one of the designers at Behance has come up with a concept showing a smartwatch like you have never seen before. Of course, its existence is only mythical so its creator wasn't constrained by the costly implementation of design and features.

Tomas Moyano from Argentina believes that smartwatches today come with an important flaw. They can monitor sleep cycles and heart rates, but they fail to “vizualize” the bigger picture. The wearer is part of an ecosystem so it’s interconnected with it at several levels and is not a standalone organism.

So our designer has come with the Gaia Watch, which is a smartwatch with strong ecological accents. Since pollution has become a great problem in the world we live in, Gaia proposes that the watch could help you diagnose the levels of contamination on the Planet.

More than that, wearers of the eco-bracelet could share their information on a global social network so a constant flow of knowledge will keep interested or relevant parties informed at all times.

So while you’re out for a run or doing something outside, the smartwatch will be able to detect the levels of contamination in your environment.

However, once you know whether you are in a contaminated areal, there won’t be much to do about it except post the info on the social network we talked about. The feature might not be all that useful after all, unless authorities and non-governmental organizations are also involved.

For those looking to relocate to a safer location, the Gaia watch might be exactly what they need to make an informed decision.

According to the hypothetical chart provided by the designer, owners of the Gaia watch in Australia might want to think about moving to Europe, where contamination levels aren't all that high.

The watch should have a graphene screen and come equipped with a flexible E-Board, polymer and flexible battery.

Gaia will make use of nano sensors living in the skin of the smartwatch in order to analyze the particles in elements. This concept sounds quite Sci-Fi, and at this point it is difficult to imagine how smartwatch makers would go about to achieve this feat.

What we like most about the Gaia is the design with its fluid and appealing feel. The device can display time and can be used as an activity tracker, as well.

So, what do you think?
