Fans of the RPG genre will be very excited to hear that Monte Cristo Games will launch a standalone addon for their successful game Silverfall. The new title, Earth Awakening, will offer more action than ever and it is scheduled for a PC release this August.

Apparently, the game will take place in a new fantasy world, called Nelw?, where players will have to battle an impressive array of monsters in order to save a realm under threat. However, we doubt that the basic game mechanics of the first title will be changed, which means that you'll still have to align your character to nature or technology and perform dubious, as well as altruist acts.

The four races from the original game remain playable, but two new tribes join the fight, which means that you'll be able to choose from Humans, Elves, Goblins, Trolls, Dwarves and Lizardmen. As you probably know from previous RPGs, each race has its own skills and feats, so the gameplay will differ depending on your choices.

Silverfall Earth Awakening will feature no less than 150 skills and magic spells, including 8 Ultimate skills and 12 unique, high level skills - which can have devastating effects once mastered. Also, object crafting is present in the game, allowing players to create weapons, armor and all sorts of enhancements (the developers promise we'll be able to build thousands of items!)

An exciting multiplayer mode will be available for fans to test their strength against one another - in the PvP mode via LAN or Internet play. Also, for those of you who still miss the good old days of glory of your original Silverfall characters, there are no reasons to worry: you'll be able to import them into Earth Awakening, making the most of all the previous skills and equipment gained. Of course, the real challenge comes from creating a brand new one, but it's a matter of choice, after all.
