ASUS just launched its latest motherboard that targets the professional segment - the M2N32 WS - which is said to offer workstation- and server-level performance and functionality, informs Hardware Zone.

The M2N32 WS Professional supports dual-PCI Express architecture to offer high-quality graphics, the AMD AM2 dual-core processor and dual-channel DDR2 800 memory, and the dual-LAN controllers for increased bandwidth and faster data transfers.

The M2N32 WS Professional also comes equipped with two PCI-X slots, two PCI slots, two IEEE 1394a ports, ten USB 2.0 ports and ten Serial ATA-II 3Gb/s ports to provide an enhanced storage capacity.

The ASUS system features two advanced technologies - the AI Nap and the AI Gear. The first one allows the users to sleep while the system is downloading the requested files, operating at a minimum power and noise when users are temporarily away. The second - named AI Gear - is meant to stabilize the system performance and silent computing, enabling the user to choose a profile to adjust CPU frequency and vCore voltage, minimizing system noise and power consumption.

The already known Stack Cool 2 is a fan-less and zero-noise cooling solution created by ASUS, which dissipates the heat without disturbing noise, transferring it into the other part of the printed circuit board (PCB).

In order to provide an extended heatsink for more heat dissipation, Asus adopted a copper heatpipe design for its new M2N32 WS Professional, instead of two separate heatsinks for the Northbridge and Southbridge.
