The Division is one of the video games that Ubisoft has been teasing for a long time without too many concrete details about the gameplay mechanics, but a new video from the development team talks about the way music will be used to enhance the experience.

The entire soundtrack of the title will be handled by composer Ola Strandh and he seeks to create soundscapes that will give gamers a sense of the place they are exploring and will allow them to focus on the action.

The footage delivered by Ubisoft talks about the history of the music maker and explains how he is aiming to introduce a number of characters who are playing instruments in the game and give players moments to actually enjoy the music.

Ola Strandh says he wants to deliver a unique feeling to the soundtrack of The Division, and the developers also offer some gameplay footage to accompany his ideas.

The new title is created using the Snowdrop engine and is designed to make the most of the computing power of new PCs, as well as that of the Xbox One and the PlayStation 4.

The Division is still set to arrive in 2015, but Ubisoft has not announced a clear date yet.

The title will mix shooter, MMO, and role-playing elements

The Division was first announced in 2013, and it seems that since then it has undergone at least a major revamp of its core gameplay elements.

Gamers will become one of the autonomous government agents who can operate even if the entire command structure of the United States of America government collapses.

After an epidemic spreads like wildfire after Black Friday, they are called upon to try and re-establish order and find out more about a wider conspiracy that involves some mysterious entities.

Ubisoft says that The Division will pit gamers against both Artificial Intelligence-controlled enemies and other human players as they work in small groups to secure resources and get information.

The title is supposed to function on the framework of an MMO, but will also include classic shooter elements.

The characters players created in The Division will be able to evolve based on their choices and interests, and both cooperation and competitive elements will be included.
